Jeanette is Retired psychologist and a marriage & family therapist from New Mexico, USA. She and her husband Dewa Haley co-adivse an NGO, Om Gagangiri Maharaj Ashirwadit Trust and its various seva /social work projects in the Ganeshpuri area of Palgher District, Maharashtra, India since 2010. One of the trust's projects is improving the capacity of the local tribal families to earn a livelihood from their Native Art, sewing skills, and their innate ability to learn and master a new craft.

The trust works closely with the members of 5000 year old Indigenous Warli tribe. They started with basic sewing classes then 2014 opened a women's art and sewing workshop which was named as Padukas, symbolizing the presence of a beloved guru / god. She is a lover of colors, fabric textures and rhyme of patterns. Being a painter herself, she loves the colourful Indian sarees and has been experimenting with them. She says she is in a fabric Heaven here in India. She is inspired by Indian culture and art, this is portrayed in all the art pieces of Padukas Artisans.
