We believe in quality or quantity. We take pride in our women working in the workshop and the beautiful products they make with their heart and soul. We appreciate their freedom and ability to create pieces of art through the items.
For 7 years Padukas has been able to teach basic sewing including patchwork, embroidery, hand-stitching, quilting and fabric dyeing. Recycled sarees and clothing, and manufacturer's scraps are used to create unique and original products.
Padukas fosters a culture of quality so our artisans are taught to harmonize subtle color combinations and pay detailed attention to finishing. If something isn't quite right, we redo it until it meets our standards.
We have thirty women, and growing, working in the Women's Art Workshop, each 6-7 hours a day. We pay each one a fair wage and empower them through building self-esteem, self-sustainability and helping to better the lives of them and their families.
Through your purchases we are able to continue changing lives and move closer to our dream of employing 100 women. Thank you so much for your support!
